We’ve gathered a new collection of case studies from across the tertiary sector in Wales, showcasing current good practice in supporting student transitions into and through higher education.
The work forms part of a wider project commissioned by Medr, the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research, to explore how providers are helping learners move into higher-level study and supporting their ability to learn.
The case studies highlight how colleges and universities are preparing Level 3 learners for HE, supporting new HE students as they begin their studies, helping Level 4 and 5 students progress to higher levels, and welcoming those joining Level 5 or 6 programmes.
Practical ideas you can use
They’re particularly valuable for colleagues in further education colleges seeking practical, proven approaches to improve progression and learner confidence. Many of the examples include reflections on impact, offering real insight into what works and why.
