Find out what’s happening to combat academic fraud and access a range of advice, guidance, and good practice.
We work closely with our members and sector bodies to ensure that nationally agreed reference points for quality and academic standards in higher education are current, relevant and effective. This includes Qualification Frameworks, Subject Benchmark Statements and Characteristics Statements, which all underpin the UK Quality Code for Higher Education and are published on the QAA website.
Our membership activities also focus on topics that have strategic importance to the maintenance of academic standards including academic integrity; credit and student workload; data; and degree standards, algorithms and external examining.
This new publication offers a useful overview of QAA resources that have been carefully curated to support the tertiary and higher education sector in going beyond the baseline regulatory requirements as presented in the Office for Students’ (OfS) regulatory framework for HE in England. It demonstrates how QAA resources relate to the OfS conditions and how they can be used to enhance student learning, teaching and assessment above the regulatory baseline.
