Welcome to QAA International Member workshops
Our series of virtual workshops is designed to support QAA's International Members in implementing new practices and approaches to quality assurance in Higher Education. The sessions are grounded in practical advice and guidance, designed specifically for academic and quality professionals.
All members of staff at QAA International institutions can complete the workshops simply by signing into the membership resources site, with their institutional email address.
We are continuing to build this valuable resource for our International members, so if there are particular topics you would like to explore please do let us know. We welcome your feedback.
Workshops
This year we are launching two new virtual workshops. These are an exciting addition to our International Member offer. The virtual workshops are completely flexible. Members can access the video content at their own pace, revisit the material, and reflect on the ideas discussed. Once the course has been completed, members can register for a certificate of completion by completing a quiz.

Inclusive Learning and Teaching
This workshop examines how to create inclusive learning environments that support all students, regardless of background or ability. It examines the current context of higher education and the diversity of the student population, inviting participants to think about inclusive curriculum design, accessible teaching practices, and strategies for supporting students with disabilities. Participants will explore case studies and tools for evaluating inclusivity in their own practice, and explore how inclusive pedagogy enhances student engagement and success.
This course is designed as a series of 4 short videos, with accompanying additional reading for further depth. The videos are recorded in English language with transcripts provided. Participants can be awarded a certificate following completion of an end of workshop quiz.

Assessment, AI and Academic Integrity
Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) is transforming the way students engage with their learning, whilst at the same time placing pressure on the principle and practices of academic integrity in assessment. Institutional policy and regulations are trying to keep up with innovation in assessment practice on the one hand and the rise in academic misconduct on the other.
This workshop will explore the vital relationship between assessment and Gen AI. It will help you to adapt and develop strategies for maintaining and enhancing academic integrity across your provision, at programme and institutional level.

QAA Quality Lab

The Quality Lab offers a series of 2 hour live workshops, designed as collaborative learning spaces in which to examine and develop practice through a quality lens. Each session is grounded in the principles of quality assurance and continuous enhancement.
Whilst the primary focus of the workshops is from a UK perspective, international colleagues may find these of interest and are welcome to attend.
Step into Quality: This workshop focuses on quality and standards in the UK and is available to providers with full UK Membership. Colleagues from providers with Full International Membership are also welcome to attend.
Step into Partnerships: This workshop focuses on UK provision and is available to colleagues with full UK Membership. Colleagues from providers with Full International Membership are also welcome to attend.
International Insights: This series of workshops focuses on UK provision and is open to providers with International Insights Membership and Full International Membership.
